Brand Clarity & Strategic Development

Client Context

Connecting with such talented artists in the industry will forever be one of my favourite things about what I do – being surrounded by passion, dedication, and vision for their craft – and then helping them convey these sentiments into visual or written form, makes my heart absolutely full.

This was my fourth timing working with Barbra-Joi, leading lady and creative director behind Picnics in the 6ix – an event brand specializing in designs and experiences that combine their clients’ visions with their signature style and décor rentals. And every time we work together, I can’t help but truly admire her innate ability to create such beautiful spaces, florals, and set-ups.

Earlier this year, Barbra-Joi came to us for brand clarity and strategic development as she had a slightly different vision in mind for Picnics in the 6ix. More specifically, she wanted to give her entire brand a visual refresh, reimagine her messaging, and introduce new offerings.

The Intention

For this particular shoot, Barbra-Joi wanted to put together a garden-inspired content shoot that aligned with her new wedding styling packages, evoking feelings of sophistication, minimalism, romance, and naturalness.

Process & Approach

With that, we shot at the Ruby Manor in Brampton, Ontario, which lent itself well to the intimate wedding/classic feel Barbra-Joi envisioned.

Her tablescape set-up included minimal greenery, dancing florals, and focal mixed blooms in budvases. Bringing in a touch of earthy tones mixed with neutrals, there was also a variety of candle light including pillars, tapers, and tea lights.

We also focused on individual bridal portraits, “I want to feature a classic bride that remains fashion-forward with natural makeup to enhance her beauty – the goal is to showcase quiet luxury and soft sophistication.”

While working with Savannah, I was hoping to showcase my brand in a different style that connected to my audience. I wanted to capture visuals that allowed me to elevate my style and offerings as I launched a new service for my company. I am obsessed. Savannah created an unforgettable experience from brand strategy to brand photos. I am in love with the photos that were created, and the understanding of branding I now know, will help me navigate my business and any ventures I decide to start moving forward. Thank you so much, you are amazing to work with!
