A refined and minimalist custom brand and web design for Claire Fleck, an award-winning wedding photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Inspired by fine art, open spaces, notes of texture, and handwritten notes, conceptualizing and creating the physical space for Claire’s new website was such a thoughtful experience.

“This is more me than I could have ever imagined. How do you already know me from so far away! I couldn’t have imagined how special the finished website would be. Creating something custom with you was a truly unique experience and one I would repeat a thousand times over. ”
Before deciding to work with Savannah, I was looking to update my brand and especially my website to come in line with my work since my previous rebrand was almost 8 years old. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was needing but knew that I wanted a creative individual to come alongside my brand, understand it, and make the updates that would elevate my services and bring to life some new services I wanted to offer. A call that naturally lasted far longer than I thought it would cemented the fact that I wanted Savannah to be the one to re-design my website and rebrand my business. She was so warm and creative in her ideas, our communication styles aligned, and she understood my vision from the start. It felt easy, and when she sent me over some design ideas, I knew instantly that she had taken all of our conversation on board and knew exactly how I wanted to be seen by my clients. My favourite thing about working together is that nothing ever seemed too big or too small for Savannah. It felt like a constant, flowing project, and we got to share both our personal and our work lives for the months we were working together. She is the most talented artist and a really beautiful person, and I’m so pleased that we found each other for this project.

Intention
As a seasoned wedding photographer specializing in natural, artistic, and creative imagery, Claire’s photography approach is rooted in connection – capturing weddings on digital and 35 mm film authentically without leaning into trends or preconceived visions. When it came to her overall brand expression, she wanted a digital presence that not only showcased her artistry but also connected with couples who value intentionality, timeless beauty, and artistic expression. While her photography work speaks volumes, her existing website lacked the design sophistication to fully convey the quality of her offer. The intention here was to create a brand and website experience that reflects her values while also building trust with potential clients – supporting them through the process and inviting them into a space where they can easily see themselves in her work. It was also important that the new brand and website honoured the feeling one would get when looking at a photographic print – in other words, how can we make the website feel less digital?
Process & Approach
We crafted a minimalist yet human-centric design that complements Claire’s design taste while prioritizing user experience. With the use of intentional details and subtle design choices that aligned with her visual storytelling style, we were able to create a new digital home that resonates with her and her people.
Some examples include: subtle handwritten accent fonts to add personality and a sense of humanness; a thoughtful page flow that reflects Claire’s experiential approach; clear, concise navigation designed to guide users effortlessly through galleries, client testimonials, and booking details; and a mix of timeless serif and sans-serif fonts to strike the balance between contemporary refinement and approachability.
Along with her new branding assets, our collaboration included the design and development of her primary web pages: home, approach, services, portfolio, journal and contact. We also created several online resource guides for her clients, including an investment guide, an in-depth wedding guide, and a trusted vendor list – all of which are hidden pages on her website.
“The finished website is beyond my wildest dreams, and I am so pleased with it. I couldn’t have imagined having such a unique, beautiful space to showcase my work, and I’m so grateful for the time and creativity that Savannah put into the work she did.”
I have beautiful brand assets that I can roll across other projects and confidence that every corner of my client-facing world is meticulously designed both aesthetically and practically. I also really enjoyed the pace as it felt like things were always moving forward. Savannah made it so easy to contact her, and changes were always made quickly and with care. I found a lot of value in the initial stage of research as it not only informed the design but also helped me clarify some of my own business choices going forward. It felt like a coaching project as well as a design one! Savannah always displayed everything visually as well as talking through every decision and process in detail, which was really helpful as someone who is a visual communicator. If you think your values and work align with Artisanth, then you will 100% not regret the investment. The process is intense yet effortless, and Savannah will make sure that you receive a product that you are completely happy with.
“It’s hard to know where to start and how to put into words how special it was working with Artisanth. ”
I came to Savannah with a list of functional tweaks needing done to my website but quickly realised, after an in-depth call with her, that my online space had so much more potential. We instantly clicked, both on a personal and a creative level, and the journey felt easy and exciting from start to finish. The start of the process took a deep dive into my brand and ideal clients, and this helped to clarify a lot of my offerings and services before we even started. This information then seamlessly informed the design of both the rebrand and the website. I loved how Savannah constantly referred back to client experience when designing the website, and many of my couples have already commented on aspects of this when enquiring with me. Savannah has an eye for detail as well as a thoughtfulness in her design, which allows her to constantly create unique and considered spaces for artists. In a world where online platforms are constantly changing and evolving, I am so pleased to have a space that I have total autonomy over and that fully represents my work and the people I love to spend my time with. This feels like an invaluable investment, and I couldn’t be happier that I connected with Artisanth.
