I was also so impressed with the additional resources that she provided throughout the experience to help me prepare and guide me through this whole experience. If you’re like me and struggle with writing copy, I chose to invest in having Savannah do copy editing for me and it was honestly probably one of the best things I could have done – she has a way of taking what I wanted to say but writing it out 100 times better than I ever could have! When I read through her first round of edits, I was literally brought to tears because I was so happy to know that I was going to have copy on my website that really communicated to potential clients my heart in this business and why I love it so much. Intention
The intention behind Kendra’s decision to give her brand and website a visual refresh was to showcase her portfolio in a way that felt elevated while infusing more of her personality into her online presence. It was important to Kendra that visitors would get a sense of who she is as a person before even deciding to inquire. It was also important that the overall client experience felt intuitive and familiar, reflecting the approach in which she naturally operates as a photographer – calm and organized.
Process & Approach
Beginning with a comprehensive copyedit, we revised and refined Kendra’s website copy to better encompass the thoughts she holds as a human – especially in relation to photography and her clients. We wanted to make sure that when potential clients land on her page, they feel supported. We also used this opportunity to share more details about Kendra’s approach and overall philosophy.
For the website, we used our Hadley template as the base (which naturally includes structure, texture symmetrical layouts, and lots of opportunities to further showcase imagery), and customized the design to complement Kendra’s offerings as well as her love for travel. We also created a complimentary custom textured background, adding a level of personality to the online space. Along with customizing the primary web pages of the template, we created an additional hidden investment guide for her full packages. The final design feels warm, inviting, romantic, a tad nostalgic, and elevated.

I really wanted to create an elevated online space that felt like an accurate representation of myself and the work that I love. I think one of my biggest fears going into this was not being able to find someone who was passionate and cared enough about getting to know who I am since that is such a big part of my business! I really wanted to work with someone who didn’t just know how to create something that was pretty, but also something that truly reflected my heart in this business. Seeing how passionate and intentional you are about creating online spaces and really getting to know your clients sealed the deal! Your energy and kindness made this whole project so much fun, and although the process leading up to actually starting to create the website like diving into my business was a little daunting and overwhelming, I am so grateful for how much clarity it gave me.

You’re not just investing in a new website, but the entire process from start to finish will give you so much clarity on your values, the kind of clients you want to work with and where you want to take your business.
